Renowned anti-war and social justice activist Medea Benjamin talks about her new book, co-authored with Nicolas Davies, entitled War in Ukraine: Making Sense of a Senseless Conflict. She traces the origins of the war back to the fall of the Soviet Union and addresses Russia’s grievances as well as Ukraine’s. Understanding both is necessary to find solutions to end the conflict.
Ms. Benjamin is a co-founder of CODEPINK, the women-led peace and justice organization.
Ms. Benjamin will be making several stops in the Houston Metropolitan Area. Each is co-sponsored by Houston Peace and Justice Center’s Foreign & Military Policy Working Group and the Foreign Policy Alliance. There is no charge to attend.
